Panorama Bad Schandau




Bad Schandau is upriver before the Czech border the last german town. With its districts along the upper reaches of the Elbe Bad Schandau is actually the "capital" of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. The panorama presented the center of the old town with St. Johanniskirche (church), the Toskana Therme, the iron elevator to Ostrau and the boat docks. From Bad Schandau you can reach with the Kirnitzschtalbahn to the Lichtenhain waterfall (starting point for several hikes). In the immediate vicinity are the Schrammsteine and mesas Zirkelstein, imperial crown and Lilienstein. Bad Schandau is not only a center for climbers and active tourists; in the town there are also several clinics and hotels.
