Our house is an in calm location at the forest and offers a unique view on the rock world of Saxon Switzerland. Friendly furnished rooms in the cosy ambience await you for a recreative vacation. Our rooms have shower/WC/TV, partly balcony and the apartment roof terrace. Approx. only 8 minutes walking to the Elbe wheer are the piers and rapid-transit railway connection. The art city Dresden can be reached in 35 minutes and the health resort Bad Schandau just after two stops. Bohemian Switzerland can also be approached comfortably with this railway line.

A relaxing holiday in Saxon Switzerland, welcome to the family-run guesthouse in a quiet Zaukental (OL Rathmannsdorf) directly on the forest and yet centrally located, 10 min. to the market place as Schandau, wharf and public. Transportation & shopping. An ideal starting point for hikes. Our holiday yard is a non-smoker house in a calm and wooded location at the Malerweg hiking route. A cosy terrace with view towards the Papststein is accessible for all guests. For children we have a playground with ping-pong table, sand box, swing, junglegym and chute.
We have double rooms and vacation homes with one or two sleep areas (each with Shower and WC).

In unserem neuen Feriendomizil haben wir 5 hochwertige Ferienapartments eingerichtet. Die Ferienapartments befinden sich jeweils im Erdgeschoss, Mittelgeschoss und Dachgeschoss und verfügen alle über Fußbodenheizung und WLAN. Die Apartments im Erdgeschoss und der 1. Etage verfügen über eine große Wohnküche, 2 Schlafzimmer mit Fernseher und jeweils einem Bad. Von der Küche aus gelangen Sie direkt auf die Terrasse bzw. den Balkon. Das Apartment im Dachgeschoss verfügt über 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 Bäder, Sauna und großer Wohnküche mit Balkon. Waschmaschine und Trockner befinden sich im separaten Wirtschaftshaus.

Die Apartments sind auch kombinierbar mit unserer benachbarten Pension wo es auch Frühstück gibt was man dazu buchen kann.

Almost 150 years ago, the "Lichtenhainer Wasserfall" was already one of the earliest famous features of the Sächsische Schweiz (Saxon Switzerland) and was the setting-off point for the first hikers who wandered on the "tourist paths" through this unique, beautiful region. The guesthouse, built in Swiss style in 1852, was, until the beginning of the 20th century, annexed to a chair-lift, pack-animal and guide´s station, so tha, to avoid the "terrible strain" of an ascent to the cow-shed, you could let yourself be carried up in the chair-lift by 2 carriers.

Our houses in the health resort Rathen are in a calm elevated location (200m above sea level) at the forest and in the middle of the national park Saxon Switzerland. The scenic nature with pictorial rock formations invite for hiking and climbing. Good traffic connection with train, ship, car and if desired we pick you up at the train station in Rathen.

Das Haus direkt am Malerweg im Stile der 30er Jahre ist schlicht und rustikal eingerichtet. Mit viel Holz und warmen Farbtönen versprüht die Pension den Charme einer gemütlichen Herberge zum Wandern und Klettern im Elbsandsteingebirge.
Eine Stube mit Kaminofen verbreitet zudem behagliche Baudenstimmung. Auf den Wanderer und Radfahrer warten 10 Zimmer auf drei Etagen. Vom Einbett- über Doppelzimmer bis zum Dreibettzimmer ist es für Einzel- und Gruppenreisende ein begehrtes Quartier in Schmilka, dem besonderen Ortsteil von Bad Schandau.

Die Pension Bauernhaus Vetter ist ein ehemaliges Wohnstallhaus was vollständig und liebevoll rekonstruiert wurde. Das außergewöhnliche Ambiente des Hauses verfügt über 4 Ferienwohnungen und 5 Doppelzimmer. Im Haus befindet sich ein großes Gewölbe mit Kamin was als Aufenthalts- und Frühstücksraum genutzt wird. Auf unseren Hof gibt es Katzen, Mehrschweinchen und Kaninchen. Das Bauernhaus ist ideal als Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Wanderrungen in der Sächsischen Schweiz.
