The next larger places are Pirna and Dresden. Use the advantages of Saxon Switzerland with its wonderful look-outs, over 1200 km signposted hiking trails and over 120 sights of baroque which can be seen on a steamboat trip. Or you follow the traces of historical Dresden with its rebuild Church of Our Lady, or get inspired by visiting a performance in the Semper opera or one of the many attractive museums. Of course the modern Dresden is really quite worth a visit as well.

From our 3-Star Hotel the Elbe river and the cure promenade can be reached within just 10 minutes by foot. The hotel has 20 double and 1 single rooms with altogether 39 beds. Bei uns im Forsthaus sind Sie mittendrin und können direkt vom Hotel aus zu Wanderungen in alle Himmelsrichtungen starten. Der berühmte Malerweg gehört dazu. Mit Wanderbus und Kirnitzschtalbahn, die direkt am Haus halten, gelangen Sie zu vielen weiteren Ausflugszielen und natürlich ins nahe Bad Schandau (ca. 4 km) mit Anschluss an Schiff und Bahn und zu allen anderen Highlights der Region. Ihrem Auto könnten Sie also getrost auch etwas „Urlaub“ gönnen.

Located 180 meters above a deep sandstone canyon of the river Elbe, between Děčín and the border checkpoint of Hřensko, is a terrace built at the beginning of the 18th century. There is an amazing bird’s eye view from The Belveder. You can see the Elbe canyon, a huge valley surrounded by high rocks with the Elbe River flowing through. In the summertime, at evenings, when the sky is painted with so many beautiful colors, it’s a magical place. Adjacent to this terrace is a Hotel which shares the same name as the vista – Belveder. The surrounding countryside is favorite place for walkers and all around there are excellent places for mountaineering. From there you can easily reach the popular beauty-spot of Soutěsky and the world-famous Pravčická brána.

Das Hotel "Švýcarský dům" (Schweizer Hof) liegt im westlichen Teil der Böhmischen Schweiz, in etwa 600 m ü.M., nahe der Stadt Děčín (Tetschen), am Fuße des Hohen Schneeberges. Das Hotel wurde im Jahre 1893 eingeweiht, im Laufe der Zeit mehrmals rekonstruiert, zum letzten Mal in 2020.
