The district Ostrau is located above the town Bad Schandau, in the middle of the Schrammstein area and is therefore an ideal starting point for hikes. After a short walk or bus ride you are in the town Bad Schandau, where further options for destinations are available, like a voyage on the river Elbe, a trip to the Bastei rock formation, a trip to the capital Dresden and many more.

Purchase possibilities such as butchers, bakers, purchase market (Penny and Lidl) and a restaurant are reachable within few minutes walking. A good connection to the public transportation system with bus, train and the piers ensure fast travelling.
The border to Czech Republic is only 10 km away. Due to the rapid-transit railway station in Bad Schandau you can also easily visit the art city Dresden.

We offer a comfortable holiday apartment (55 sqm) for 2-4 persons in the district Pfaffendorf of the town Königstein, located in a quiet yet central location. On request we can provide you with a second bedroom. Ideal for organizing a family holiday including excellent hiking opportunities and trips to bigger cities, such as Dresden, Meissen and Prague, which all can be easily reached by car, tram or boat. Located 180 meters above a deep sandstone canyon of the river Elbe, between Děčín and the border checkpoint of Hřensko, is a terrace built at the beginning of the 18th century. There is an amazing bird’s eye view from The Belveder. You can see the Elbe canyon, a huge valley surrounded by high rocks with the Elbe River flowing through. In the summertime, at evenings, when the sky is painted with so many beautiful colors, it’s a magical place. Adjacent to this terrace is a Hotel which shares the same name as the vista – Belveder. The surrounding countryside is favorite place for walkers and all around there are excellent places for mountaineering. From there you can easily reach the popular beauty-spot of Soutěsky and the world-famous Pravčická brána.

Durch das nahe gelegene Elbsandsteingebirge führen Wanderrouten für alle Beinlängen und Dresden, Bautzen, Görlitz und andere schöne Städte sind in einigen Autominuten oder mit dem ÖPNV zu erreichen.

Diesen können Sie auch zum Erholen nach den Ausflügen, zum Sonnen und Lesen nutzen uvm. Wanderwege gehen vom Haus los, aber Sie können auch unsere Nationalparkbahn oder den Bus nutzen. In Kürze erreichen Sie die Bastei, Festung Königstein, Burg Hohnstein und Stolpen, den Kurort Rathen, Stadt Wehlen, Bad Schandau an der Elbe. Wir haben reichlich Prospektmaterial ausliegen und beraten Sie gerne bei Ihren Ausflügen. Auf unserem ca. 5000 qm großem Grundstück befindet sich ein großer Grillplatz, das Streichelgehege mit den Kamerunschafen, eine Streuobstwiese, Liegewiese, kleiner Spielplatz, Tischtennis, kleiner Kräutergarten und verschiedene Teesorten uvm.

Genießen Sie romantische Stunden in einem unserer Schäferwagen auf unserem weitläufigen Waldgrundstück, gern auch mit Ihrem Vierbeiner.
Es erwartet Sie eine moderne einfache Ausstattung. (Schlafsack erforderlich, Bettzeug mietbar). In jedem Schäferwagen befinden sich zwei Schlafplätze.
Für Tageswanderer (Forststeig, Malerweg) haben wir in einem separaten Bereich (altes Gewächshaus) einen Biwakplatz (Wanderhütte) zur Übernachtung. In der Wanderhütte gibt es 6 Lagerplätze.
